Mercedes 65mm Throttle Body

In my search for a big throttle body for a good price I came accross a `74 Mercedes 450SE (V8). I got the idea from reading about James Thagard's Turbo 240Z setup, in which he used probably the exact same TB. This is not a direct bolt on, but should be worth the work to get it working.

Other TB's that I had the option of using include: Stock 280ZX Turbo (50mm), `84-`89 300ZX NA (55m), `89-`90 240SX (60mm), MotorSport custom (60mm). The 240SX's TB's bolt pattern matches the Z's intake manifold, but linkage has to be converted over to a cable type. A 200SX throttle cable would work fine for the conversion. Best price I could find for a used one of these was $80. The MotorSport custom throttle body is a direct bolton, no mods needed to the throttle linkage, but they're selling them for $240. So, I was lucky to find the Mercedes TB in the bone yard, where it can be had for a lot less money.
